Type of work: Matte Painting

These are the walls of King's Landing, captured in an image that seamlessly blends real footage with digital set extension and a meticulous piece-by-piece reconstruction of the defensive fortifications. The work involved carefully rebuilding the architectural details of the massive stone walls to create an authentic and imposing barrier around the capital city. I collaborated with Thorsten Gaetz, who contributed essential 3D terrain elements that provide structural support and realistic foundations for the towering defensive walls, ensuring the entire composition felt grounded and believable within the established world.
