About
Type of work: Illustration
This was one of my earliest attempts at digital matte painting, combining generative terrain techniques, Photoshop work, and a 3D projection setup. The director’s original vision called for a camera movement that would pull back from the house’s window to reveal the surrounding infernal landscape.
Although the project was ultimately canceled, this piece still stands as an evocative illustrative interpretation of hell, demonstrating the experimental blend of techniques I was exploring during those formative stages of my matte painting career.
