Type of work: Matte Painting

Created for Travel Oregon's "Extraordinary is Ordinary" campaign, this project required assembling Oregon's major landmarks into a natural and cohesive composition while achieving a distinctive painterly aesthetic. The process began with gathering the most suitable photos for each landmark, which I then used to create a photorealistic matte painting foundation.

Once the composition was finalised and approved, I moved on to the next phase: meticulously hand-painting over the entire image to transform the photographic base into an artistic interpretation.

The shot paints an idyllic sunset-toned compilation of Eastern Oregon’s Carman Ranch and Wallowa Mountains along with Marys Peak on the Coast Range, Analemma Wines in the Columbia River Gorge and Detering Orchards in the Willamette Valley. Last touches painted by Brett Stenson.
